The ruling of this Judge in awarding money to this woman can affect all the Families of the Missing everywhere.

Former girlfriend of William 'Billy' Smolinski wins $52,000 in defamation case against his family

NEW HAVEN — A judge on Friday awarded $52,666 in damages to Madeleine Gleason, the former girlfriend of missing man William “Billy” Smolinski who sued his family members, claiming they harassed her, defamed her and falsely accused her of involvement in his disappearance.

This is an injustice to this family and to all families of the missing.This family only wants to find their son and bring him home.How can this woman go out and tear these flyers down like that.Does this mean the families who go out to put these flyers up that they will also have this happen.

I have met the Smolinski Family and they are a wonderful family and this is outrageous for this to happen.I hope all concerned people, Families of the Missing,All Organizations who work with the missing,all Domestic Abuse and all Crime fighting ,Human Trafficing and Familes of Murdered Victims will stand with me.

I work with Missing Person cases daily and I am disturbed over this Judges ruling and hurt for this family and all others missing a loved one.This is so evil for this woman to collect any money what so ever when she may know something about what happened to Billy.

We need Justice as evil is lurking all around us and criminals need to be put away not tapped on their hand while the victims wait and wait for Justice only alot of times to be slapped in the face by a court system who fails them.
