This land was destroyed illegally by the corrupt Chicago Mayor.  For over 50 years, Meigs Field brought a connection to Chicago that did not want to fly into O'Hare.  The mayor at the time said that he was afraid and protecting the city of a 9/11 style attack on Chicago.  Where were the airports at all 3 attacks that happened on 9/11?  Also look in the video how close Soldier field is and tell me that this airport did not serve a purpose for commerce in downtown Chicago.  The park that was placed here is obviously a failure.  The airport should be rebuilt and a park and bike/walking trail should be created along the east of the island.
