For centuries POC have been being killed for the color of their skin. As a young black teen I have seen my community be destroyed from this. Police brutality needs to be stopped, and too many innocent black folks are dying and being killed for no reason. One popular death was the killing of George Floyd, he did not get justice until an entire year later, and some people still to this day have not gotten justice. I am tired of seeing my people being killed, I am tired of being scared to live my life because of the system I live in. WE ARE TIRED. Why are the same people who are supposed to protect us the ones we need protecting from? They are killing us and just getting away with it. People go to jail for the smallest things but the second it’s a cop and results in someone’s family losing them they’re slapped on the wrist like a child who didn’t know any better.
