A federal "habeas corpus" petition has been filed by Brendan Dassey's attorneys, challenging the legality of Brendan's arrest and imprisonment. It is now up to Magistrate Judge William E. Duffin of Milwaukee, WI to decide weather to deny the petition, order a new trial, or free Brendan outright. There is no deadline for the decision. See attached article for further details.
