In order to increase the COVID-19 Vaccination rate across the US, reduce vaccination hesitancy, and meet the religious and ethical reguirements of tax-paying Americans, President Biden, the Secretary of Health & Human Services, and Biomedical Advanced Research & Development Authority (BARDA) should be compelled to extend its Medical Counter Measure Funding to Abortion-Derived Cell Lines-free (ADCL-free) COVID-19 Vaccines makers now.

The currently available vaccines in the market continues to fall short of the expectations of substantial segments of our population, ostensibly because they involved Abortion-derived Cell Line (ADCL), HEK293 cells and/or PER.C6 cells,  in either their production or post-production phase. It is then not surprising to see patients, healthcare workers and others declining to take the vaccines. While such people are often labelled as anti-vaxxers, the reality is that they are anything but that. These are primarily Pro-lifers, People of Faith, and People of High Ethical Standards. Many of them have, in fact, been involved in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic since it hit this nation in late January 2020.

Almost all of the nearly $20 billion funds made available to COVID-19 vaccine makers by BARDA, as of March 2021, were provided to vaccine makers with ADCLs involved in one or more phases of their vaccines rollout. This is an advocacy aimed at compelling the US Government, including the President of the United States, the US Congress, the Department of HHS and other relevant agencies to extend funding to Vaccine makers ( CureVac, etc.) in and outside of the United States who are staying away from utilizing HEK293 and PER.C6 cells, as done for those using those Abortion-derived Cell Lines in 2020 through 2021. This will ensure early completion of these ADCL-free Vaccine Production and Approval in the US. A good number of these ADCL-free COVID-19 vaccines are at advanced stage now.

Extending Funding to them will also enhance more vaccination of those segments of our population who continue to exercise their 1st Amendment Right in declining the currently available vaccines, and help get the economy and our lives back on track before the end of summer and the beginning of next academic session. Doing this will also help avoid lawsuits that are bound to happen if the US government agencies refuse to make ADCL-free vaccines available and schools and employers should begin mandating vaccination with the currently available ADCL-associated vaccines. A stitch in time saves nine.
