BCGEU Members Against The Covid-19 Vaccine Mandate

BCGEU Members Against The Covid-19 Vaccine Mandate
This petition is directed to Stephanie Smith, President of the BCGEU. A Covid-19 vaccine mandate for the employees of the BC Public Service was announced on October 5, 2021 and will be effective November 22, 2021. We, the members, call upon the BCGEU to formally condemn the mandate being implemented by the employer and to support members right to the following: bodily autonomy and medical privacy.
We call upon the BCGEU to denounce the mandate and work to support its members by demanding less-invasive means to ensure the safety and well-being of workplaces such as regular testing which has been rigorously supported by other unions across the country.
We call upon the BCGEU to denounce the mandate and work to support its members right to medical privacy which is being invaded on unequal terms. Clients at many workplaces have the right to medical privacy, even when the health and safety of the Public Servants hang in the balance, yet now we the public servants are being told we are not worthy of the same dignified right.
BCGEU MEMBERS ONLY please sign this petition in support of your right to medical privacy, the right of all members to bodily autonomy, and the right to gainful employment free of coercion. All others who support us thank you and please sign this petition: https://www.change.org/Support-BC-Public-Service-Employees-Against-The-Covid-19-Vaccine-Mandate
