It's also known as "Amazon of East" because it's cover a large area of thick rainforest existing in assam.
Coal mining in Dihing Patkai Rainforests must be stopped to ensure the survival of our state bird White-wing Duck, state flower Foxtail Orchid, state tree Hollong, national animal Royal Bengal tiger and many rarer and endanger species which calls Assam a home.

Being a local media platformof NorthEast, it's our moral duty to stand with our people. Most of the people in the state are very much disappointed with the news of NBWL nod for coal mining in the Assam's Dihing patkai range.

Not only that many news have been broadcast and published on various media platforms  about  illegal mining and deforestation in the Dihing patkai since months ago , but the local government is seriously doing nothing to safe gaurd the rainforest and it's habitats.

Now we the people of NorthEast wants a blanket ban on this massive and extensive coal mining . Immediately government agencies should do some serious job and put a full stop to this destructions.
