As the Yulin dog meat festival 2018 ends, the fight to end it forever continues.

Over the past 2 weeks, thousands of dogs and cats were slaughtered in Yulin, China. As this year’s dog meat festival ends today, the movement to demand an end to the Yulin dog meat festival is stronger than ever. Mobilization over the last weeks has demonstrated that so many people in China, and around the globe, are fighting to end the Yulin festival. They are outraged by the senseless slaughter of helpless animals, many being beloved pets that have been kidnapped from their homes. Imagine being one of those dogs, that finds himself crammed into a cage, barely able to move, without any food or water. Imagine watching other dogs brutally put to death and cooked from your cage. The fear they must feel is unimaginable — and their fate is unacceptable. I have handed in your signatures to the Chinese consulate of Canada.
