Senate Bill SB716 passes California State Senate. This bill would make the use of bullhooks in the "training" of elephants illegal throughout the state of California. If it is signed by Governor Jerry Brown, California will be the first state in the U.S that will ban the use of cruel bullhooks. Obviously this is great news. Now we need to put pressure on the governor to sign this important legislation.
