President Obama: Make the CHiPs Episode "Battle Of The Bands" Into a National Holiday
President Obama: Make the CHiPs Episode "Battle Of The Bands" Into a National Holiday
The Issue
We united Americans feel it is crucial to nationally recognize the influence the CHiPs episode "Battle of The Bands" has had upon American culture.
We whole heartedly believe that while, yes, it is important to acknowledge great Americans such as “Abraham Lincoln” it is also equally important to tip our collective National hat to great television, such as the 1982 CHiPs classic “Battle Of The Bands” (Season 5, Episode 16). How can any American forget Arthur "Grossie" Grossman's "Slam Dance" interpretation during said episode? By helping our cause, one day not only will past Americans not ever have to forget; Grossie, John, Ponch, Sgt. Getrae, Thrasher (Played by William Forsythe), Surfer Girl, and the rest of the CHiPs gang (only of this one episode though) but future Americans will learn of these heroes as well.
Hopefully you’ll join us, in making every January 31st (the date this episode originally aired back in 1982) into a national day of “Celebration” (Google; Erik Estrada, Celebration, CHiPs - for yet another little ditty from this exact same episode). Yes we can!
Peace
