BRAINS DEVELOP A NATION, NOT [natural] RESOURCES

When God created Ghana, He deposited trillions of Cedis' worth of natural resources (gold, crude oil, diamonds, good earth, great weather, name it, and we have it!) here as a BLESSING. But Blessings do not exist or operate in a vacuum – you gotta work blessings. So He gave us 3 responsibilities to harvest and harness the BLESSING to our benefit. The responsibilities were: (i) be fruitful & multiply, (ii) replenish & subdue the earth, and (iii) have dominion over every living thing. The totality of the 3 responsibilities may be summed up as “Use your BRAINS, be STRATEGIC and don’t do STUPID stuff.” He was telling us that if we do not exercise these responsibilities, the Blessing will either be useless or hurt us. But here we are today: (i) Instead of being fruitful and multiplying, we have become fruitless and have decreased. (ii) Instead of replenishing and subduing the earth, we are depleting it and have surrendered to it. (iii) And instead of having dominion over every living thing (including our erring compatriots and Chinese Galamsey operators) we now have embarrassing subservience.
