As we celebrate Heroes day today, 1,000 people have signed a petition to decolonize and change names of colonial figures responsible for oppressive rule and other crimes against the people of Uganda. We thank you. We plan to take this petition to the authorities to ensure that our voices are heard and that something is done to end impunity, denounce perpetrators of colonial crimes and promote deserving national heroes.
