They it was who instructed the Minister responsible to overturn the rejection of the proposed mining by the Zambia Environmental Management Agency, and by a Parliamentary Committee. In addition, Sata brought the Road Development Agency under his personal coils, starting with the trans Lower Zambezi highway project. The fact that it is now clear that the copper deposits cannot be removed at a profit - apart from the massive destruction the mines would would cause, suggests unfathomable corruption and stupidity. Politically this is the end of the Patriotic Front Party, the elections of 2016 looming. Will Scott make amends. And their are other mines planned along the Zambezi, and many hydro schemes.
