Hi supporters!

I'm humbled by how many of you signed on to this petition. Thank you for signing and for sharing and referring others.

Already, we're hearing that those lucky enough to get the Moderna vaccine may now need a booster shot to account for the number of variants. And by far, the biggest challenge to getting people vaccinated is a supply shortage, If we don't vaccinate people quickly, our chance of beating this virus remains in question as it allows more time for this virus to mutate and also prolongs the suffering we've been facing. 

I want to see this petition get up to at least 500,000. I want the narrative to change around the drug companies so that people are aware that things don't have to be this way. As a society, we could be producing more vaccines, but intellectual property rights and a capitalist model for vaccine development and distribution leaves us weaker and less able to respond equitably and effectively to global pandemics (and there will be others). 

With enough leverage and momentum, we can put pressure on the drug companies to change course and share their research and technology with others to scale up vaccine production. We need this. So thank you for your support, and I hope you'll join me in inviting your network to sign as well.
