Return the Body of Palestinian Plumber Shadi Shurafi

Return the Body of Palestinian Plumber Shadi Shurafi
Soldiers of Apartheid Israel shot dead the plumber Shadi Shurafi on July 27, 2021 as he held a wrench and stood near Beita village's main water valves. According to Israeli columnist Gideon Levy, Shurafi's brother explains that the plumber was "summoned both day and night, and frequently, to check the local water system, as he was that fateful night, when the water supply to the villagers had stopped. The system is very poor and the supply is frequently disrupted."
There was no demonstration going on. There were no "clashes" in the area. It was 10:30 at night. Shurafi was shot with 12 bullets.
The Israeli military has seized Shurafi's body for no explained reason. His killing was an outrage. The taking and holding of his body is an outrage. It must be returned immediately to his family. More about this case in Haaretz and Middle East Eye.
Since 2020 Israel has kept the bodies of any Palestinian it claims to have been involved in an attack against an Israeli. Military authorities don't even have to prove that there was an attack. This practice is so widespread that sometime friends rush to bury a body before the Israeli military can grab it. This seizure of bodies is deeply inhumane and must be stopped.
