First Oak Trees Felled Today. The Guardian reports today that “French oaks that have been standing for hundreds of years in a once-royal forest" were felled today, Tuesday, March 9, in the Loire region’s Forest of Bercé. We’ll update the website with the full article ASAP.

In the article, “Eco Justice and Notre Dame Cathedral: An Urgent Call to Resist," he writes, "Moral blindness in the context of catastrophic climate change will diminish the few remaining European forests."
