Rahm continues to lobby for the post of Secretary of Transportation, over the objections of transit unions, progressives on the local and national stages, and pretty much anyone unwilling to pretend the last 15 years didn't happen.
As Obama's chief of staff, Rahm was one of the fiercest opponents of a public option in the Affordable Care Act. If he gets into a Biden cabinet, we can expect our former mayor to fight tooth and nail against anything that threatens the status quo, or the profits of his Wall Street friends.
