Free Gen Jovito Palparan

Free Gen Jovito Palparan
The Issue
Gen Palparan has dedicated his life to the service of the Filipino people from the moment he entered the military on 1973 to beyond his military retirement. From the war torn Mindanao to the streets of Manila to the desserts of Iraq, he relentlessly worked to erradicate insurgency prioritizing the welfare of the innocent civillians over the desires of the political leaders. Now at almost 70 years old, he is locked up in the National Bilibid Prison serving time for a crime he never committed and couldn’t even commit instead of spending time with his beloved grandchildren. To the silent majority he is a hero who liberated hundreds of communities from communist insurgents but to the left leaning, media controlling minority he is a “Butcher”. If he fights off abusive terrorists to defend innocent hard working civillians then yes he is a butcher to the terrorists but a hero to most. He does not deserve to be in jail after all that he has accomplished and sacrificed for the Philippines. Please sign this petition to request that he and his co-accused be pardoned by the President of the Philippines. He deserves to be free. His freedom is a victory for Philippine Democracy.
