Did you know that the Philippines has the worst case of impunity problem in the world?  And for a third world country that poses a big problem and challenge towards is growth and development as a nation.  As a Filipino myself, I know too well that the vast majority of Filipinos aren't afraid of punishment when committing a crime because most will never be punished.

But it all starts from the top in terms of why the masses themselves are so prone to have a sense of impunity.  The powerful Congressmen and Senators themselves are not afraid of being corrupt because they know that they can and will get away with it.

Imagine what will happen if the Death Penalty will be reimposed just for corrupt politicians?  This will send a very powerful message across the board.  People will think, "If Senators are being executed, then no one is spared."  The problem reimposing the death penalty to private citizens is that it leaves behind too many holes and room for questioning.

Everybody knows (including the politicians immediate family) that almost 90%+ of Filipino lawmakers are crooks and thieves. Punish them with death and let's see how quickly things turn around.  Even the Commission on Human Rights and the Catholic Church might actually agree to this. 

We must take one step in ridding ourselves of the institutionalized corruption in our land and the first ones who must lose their heads are the politicians who stole from our coffers and bled our country dry.  These scumbags must be punished by nothing less than death itself.  Because it was because of them that the rest of us came to believe that the law should not be respected, right?

It's high time to bring back the death penalty and to this end and purpose, let's start by hanging Congress people and Senators to make it clear that the Duterte Administration has sincere intentions of breaking the institutionalized graft and corruption in our country.
