Ithaca College Graduates Should Walk For Commencement

The Issue

Graduating College is a major accomplishment and rite of passage. It is important to properly acknowledge this and allow students to walk and have their names individually read.

While most colleges do this, at Ithaca this is not the case.

We the students, parents, friends and family of the Ithaca College community therefore petition President Collado and the Ithaca College Board of Trustees to change the Commencement Ceremony to allow students to walk and have their names individually read to acknowledge their accomplishments.

This can either be done at the main ceremony or at smaller ceremonies for each school.
