Worcester County has approved 25lb explosive devices (similar to this C-4) to be detonated in the Resource Protection District off Langmaid Road in Newark, MD, directly across Chincoteague Bay from Assateague Island. This would allow 25 lb explosive devices to be detonated up to twice per week, twice per day, with unknown consequences to the surrounding residents, wildlife, and environment.  The Worcester County Commissioners need to realize that this is an issue that affects not just residents but all of those who visit each year and value the area's natural resources--and whose presence is also important to the local economy.
