Reverse the Marine Corps Commandants decision to fire 15th MEU Commander Colonel Bronzi.

The Issue

US Marine Corps Colonel Christopher Bronzi was relieved of his command of the 15th MEU on March 23rd 2021 by the Commandant of the Marine Corps General Berger after an investigation into the deaths of 8 Marines and 1 Navy Corpsman off the coast of California during a training exercise involving an AAV (amphibious assault vehicle). On July 30, 2020, 15 U.S. Marines and one sailor were aboard the AAV during an evening “shore-to-ship” training exercise off the coast of San Clemente when the vehicle began to take on water, according to the U.S. Marine Corps. One Marine was pronounced dead at the scene while seven others were rescued. Another eight service members were missing and later presumed dead. The 26-ton, tank-like vehicle sank to a depth of about 385 feet, which was too deep for divers. Following an extensive search, the remains of the missing military members were found on Aug. 3, 2020, when the sunken craft was discovered. While tragic, Colonel Bronzi could not have prevented this accident, nobody could have, and his expert leadership and combat experience will be a great loss for the Marine Corps and United States’ future as a military and country. Colonel Bronzi’s legendary combat heroics are highlighted by his Silver Star medal in the Battle of Ramadi in 2004 as Company Commander of Golf Company 2nd Bn 4th Marines. He went on to receive the Leftwich Award for best Infantry Officer in the Marine Corps in 2004. Colonel Bronzi has a devoted loyal following of thousands of Infantry Marines that will still to this day follow his orders into hell and back. The events that happened leading to the deaths of our Marines and Sailor on July 30th 2020 are very saddening and tragic, nothing can replace the lives of those heroes. However, It would be a greater loss to this country losing such a Marine Officer over something he personally had no hand in being able to prevent. Colonel Bronzi is loved by many Marines. A Marines Marine. Please sign this petition. Believe in Bronzi
