President Biden asked to establish BGeneral Charles Young's birth cabin a Nat'l Monument

The Issue

The National Coalition of Black Veteran Organizations invite you to sign the petition calling on President Joseph Biden to declare the late Buffalo Soldier - Brigadier General Charles Young's birth cabin a National Monument. The cabin built in 1790's stands on 38 acres of property in Mays Lick, Kentucky.

In 2010, the Coalition joined Mason County Fiscal Court; the Kentucky/Ohio chapters of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and community people in the restoration of the structure. The cabin was premiered to the public in 2014.  Our goal is to preserve the property by having it placed under the authority of the National Park Service.

We are asking for your support by signing this petition and circulating it among family and friends calling on the President to declare the property a National Monument under the Presidential Antiquities Act.  Together, we can make a difference.
