The First 6 Days Of YU To Be Remote Fall 2021

The Issue

For the fall semester of 2021, YU is having the first six days of school in person and then the students will be off for the High Holidays and will be having a week of remote classes in between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Since the teachers will already be teaching remotely, it is reasonable to ask that the school has those first six days remote. By making these classes online, international and non-local students would not have to pay an unnecessary financial burden to fly to NY for only six days and then for their return trip home for the holidays. Additionally, since the Thursday after Simchat Torah is remote, the students would have the weekend to move in, which would ensure no class would need to be missed. Considering this is a reasonable request that will benefit the students, I urge you to sign this petition.
