Dear MTRCB and GMA,

We, animal lovers and citizens worldwide, are outraged by the Pinoy Rodeo Show shown last Sunday April 20, 2014 on GMA News TV 11. You may refer to the provided Facebook page link: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=750617918302731&stream_ref=10

We don't want a show encouraging ANIMAL CRUELTY, this is inhumane! We shouldn't let our children watch disgusting Cruel Sports show like this; normally docile animals are physically provoked into displaying “wild” behavior in order to make the cowboys look brave.

Animals in rodeos have suffered broken ribs, backs, and legs; punctured lungs; deep internal organ bruising; hemorrhaging; ripped tendons; torn ligaments and muscles; snapped necks;  are ALL ACT of cruelty and torture.

If you recall our history during pre-colonial times, Filipinos were ANIMISTS. We have huge respect to animals and nature before other races came to conquer our land.

We have Animal cruelty law and should be respected. We don't have a culture like this. We are not Barbaric, uncivilized, and apathetic citizen. We don't want a Rodeo KING and Rodeo Queen. Kenneth Ramonal and Karen Gayla should be punished. NO ONE is ABOVE the LAW.

•We, as volunteers and non-profit orgs. are doing our best to educate our people and you are putting our EFFORTS into waste!

GMA violated the REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10631 An act amending certain sections of REPUBLIC ACT NO.8485 otherwise known as “The Animal Welfare Act of 1998”. . It is our right as tax payers and concerned citizens to ACT FAST. We ask that these animals be treated humanely. We ask that the local government realizes the sense of urgency regarding this matter.

We demand that the local government to take immediate action.
