Pacio aka Pacquiao is a dog in Davao City, Philippines that was shot January 14, 2016 and left w/out aid for 4 days. He was rescued by his rescuer Anya Alcazaren last January 18, 2016 at 2 o'clock in the morning.      A summary of what Anya Alcazaren (Pacquiao dog's rescuer) and Animal lovers/rescuers/advocates has gathered about the suspect from their visits to the site and speaking with people there. We hope he doesn't go into hiding. Apparently, Pacio aka Pacquiao dog is not the only dog he has shot and killed for nothing. A lot of residents has come forward to tell Anya and the animal advocates/rescuers/lovers/owners that he has killed their pets as well. He has a caretaker who buries the animals for him. Some people from the area say it might be drugs or just to tell the entire neighborhood he is someone with power and no one can bring him down because he likes to see blood and likes to kill animals. Anya Alcazaren and the animal advocates/lovers/rescuers tells me he is known to be rich in their area and boasts of having influence by connections. He has a brother who is a fiscal and nephew lawyer. Most of the people who live near him live in shanties and work for him. So you can see the dilemma why people didn't want to do or say anything. He has instilled so much fear in these people. Even the barangay captain said he has records of complaints from people in their area. 
  Clearly this guy is not only a psychopath, animal abuser but also a violator of the law. Someone who thinks that because he has money, he is above and beyond the law. Imagine this crime happened during a Gun Ban Period here in Davao City. I told Anya, after the animals, what or who's next? This guy deserves and needs to go to prison. This guy needs to be an example to all animal abusers out there especially here in Davao City.

  Anya, owner of Pacquiao dog and the witnesses together with the animal advocates/rescuers/lovers fear that the case will be trashed because they can afford to buy people. I hope and pray that Davao City officials and the President of the Philippines will not let this happen. Davao City is the last place in the Philippines that we would expect that to happen. I truly hope that the Mayor's office and the Office of the Philippine President will ensure that the case will be given attention to. Anya, owner of Pacquiao dog and the witnesses together with the Animal advocates/rescuers/owners/lovers are determined to fight this case til the end. So am I and all the animal advocates/rescuers/pet owners/lovers. And we are thankful for the people behind Pacio's journey and the people's help and support. Thankful for donors paying for his bills as we really didn't have a plan on how to raise funds but go on a wing and a prayer, thinking there would be people who will join our cause. We need to give Pacquiao dog and the victims the justice they deserve.
