Help change the immigration laws so my fiance can be with his family!
The Issue
Me and my fiance will have been together for 5 years next month. He has had a rough past and made some terrible decisions. He crossed the border illegally in 2002 and 2005. In 2010 he willingly returned to mexico to avoid any problems. I then followed him to Mexico to be with him and ended up having a child together. After realizing Mexico isn't a place for an american citizen to be with a child we made the decision for myself and our daughter to come back and stay with my parents till I could get him back across to be with us. Over a year later he finally had his interview only to find out he was denied! They said it is because he has a 10 year ban for entering the US illegally and can't return until 2020. Our daughter is 2 and misses him so much. Even if we were married that wouldn't matter and he would still be denied! I feel so frustrated that they approved his petition and I had to work so hard being a single mother to save everything I could for this petition and interview for him to be denied. Now I am trying to figure out what to do to go back to Mexico and be there safely with him until his 10 year bar is up so he can come to the united states. I cant afford to stay here and travel back and forth. We talk every single day on skype so Oscar (my fiance) can see our daughter naiara. And every day she asks about him and wants to see him. I understand plenty of mothers are single mothers, but I didn't plan to be. I miss him and need him so much. There is no way i can afford to support us ourselves which is why we stay with my parents. When we got the news he was denied we were devastated and just trying to figure out what is next. If everyone could please help and sign this petition to help me bring him home to his family!
