2011-2020 UNITED NATIONS DECADE
OF ACTION FOR ROAD SAFETY
https://www.facebook.com/roadsafetydecade

With this Global Road Safety Advocacy Movement:, we want to help save 5,000,000 lives from merciless Road Accidents all around the globe that only destroys dreams and devastates families in every imaginable way possible.
Based on MMDA Statistics (Road Safety Department), there have been 3,047 Fatalities (2005 - 2013) in Metro Manila alone with the infamous EDSA & Commonwealth Killer Highways racking up 13%. This 9 Year Total Fatalities include all types of Road Users (4Wheel Vehicles + Motorcycles + Pedestrians + Cyclists)

But 37% of 3,047 Deaths, there were 1,127 CYCLIST FATALITIES in Metro Manila could have saved breadwinners, daughters, & sons from a cruel & untimely death. With the severe lack of Road User Segregation,
we face the horror of 2 CYCLIST DEATHS PER WEEK in the menacing streets of the behemoth city of Metro Manila.

With this Philippine Movement, we are stepping up to support the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-2020 as declared by the United Nations, World Health Organization, Global Road Safety Partnership, and the International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies.

JOIN THE PHILIPPINE BIKE LANES MOVEMENT NOW ! ! !

---------------------

The sheer burden of Anti-Poor Living Conditions in highly urbanized Metro Manila have forced Daily Bicycle Commuters to risk life & limb just to struggle in saving money for basic needs of Food, Shelter, and Education for their families.

Some of our fellow cyclists who are mercilessly & meaninglessly killed even remain unclaimed for weeks from Funeral Homes & deprived of honorable burials due to painful financial strain that their families are subjected to.  And for generations & years thereafter to come, the PAIN OF LOSING BREADWINNERS continues to haunt the Families of Road Victims & Survivors.

With blessings from their families, we started this campaign in their honor and to all the countless fatalities in Metro Manila who have lost their dreams in an instant.

IN OUR FIGHT FOR ROAD SAFETY,
YOUR HELP WILL BE MOST VALUABLE.

Greetings.

I just signed the following petition addressed to our incumbent Philippine Senators who are part of the Bicycle Legislation that we are seeking help with & committing support for. On behalf of our fellow Road Safety Stakeholders & the Families of Road Victims & Survivors (FRVS), we would like to seek your continued help in terms of fast tracking 4 Senate Bills on Bicycle Legislation that would establish the legal basis of a healthy, vibrant, & developing Bicycle Culture in our country as anchored on concrete Bicycle Infrastructure such as integrated Bike Lanes, Bike Parking, Bike-to-Work Programs, Bike Incentives and Bike Traffic Management.

With this,we know that this will greatly benefit the vast sector of Daily Bike Commuters that belong mostly to the 2.8 Million Unemployed; the 8.5 Million Underemployed of our country's labor force; the least fortunate of our cycling brethren who have no choice but to pedal to their workplaces.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Before the May 2016 National Elections, we are seeking to cover ground with your office in terms of securing these important Senate Bills. Kindly help us prioritize; fast track the following Bills :
