Council election results and what happens next

Dear Supporter

The official results of the Woollahra Council election have not been announced yet. I will post another update when the results are formally declared.

Importantly for the campaign it seems likely that Merrill Witt, Matthew Robertson and Alexander Andruska (who have said they will oppose the introduction of other sports at the Trumper Park tennis courts) will be elected.

I believe that at the first meeting of the new Council (scheduled for Monday 28 October) there should be a vote on a recission resolution to overturn the previous Council decision to allow for multi-sports use on two of the tennis courts. We will need at least 8 Councillors to vote in favour of any recission resolution. 

When the agenda for the first Council meeting is finalised I will post an update to let you know how to send the Council an email in support of any recission resolution as "late correspondence" that will be included in the meeting papers received by the Councillors.  I will also encourage anyone who can to attend the meeting in person to demonstrate support. Council meetings normally start at 6pm.
