The Viper Room, founded in 1993 by Johnny Depp and Sal Jenco on Hollywood's Sunset Strip, is a historic epicenter of the LA rock scene that brings listeners a unique and intimate live experience. It provides a haven for the youth of Hollywood to escape the eye of the media so they may truly enjoy a night out immersed in a timeless atmosphere. Noteworthy artists who have performed at The Viper Room include Johnny Cash, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, The Strokes, Stone Temple Pilots, Bruce Springsteen, Oasis, Queens of The Stone Age, River Phoenix, Courtney Love, Natalie Cole, Elvis Costello, Pete Yorn, Lenny Kravitz, Pearl Jam,  Weezer, Maroon 5, John Mayer, Iggy Pop, Sheryl Crow and countless others unnamed. Many have ascended into fame here, while others even met their deaths. The moments that have occurred here are beyond priceless. 

We’d hate to see that history burned away and integrated into a modern mixed-use high rise looking to capitalize on one of the few remaining  landmarks in the City of West Hollywood.
