As a long-standing resident of Palm Coast, I am deeply concerned about the threat facing our local airport and its affiliated flight school, integral parts of our community for over 80 years. Astonishingly, this threat comes from a minority group of individuals who knew the airport's location yet chose to purchase homes nearby, and now aim to shut it down. Not only does the Palm Coast Airport support local jobs, but it also serves as a pivotal hub for aviation education—an industry projected to need over 700,000+ new pilots globally by 2035, according to Boeing's Pilot and Technician Outlook. Additionally, our airport plays an essential role in emergency services for our city, reiterating its importance to our community safety.

Understanding these threats, we must not allow a few unhappy homeowners to overlook the significant economic impact our airport provides to our city and jeopardize the future of our youth who may dream of a career in aviation.
