Harbin Drive, a well-known street in Stephenville, TX, is under threat of being renamed to University Drive. This change would not only cause confusion for residents and visitors but also erase a part of our local history. Harbin Drive has been an integral part of our community for decades and its name holds significant value to us all. We believe that preserving our town's heritage is crucial for maintaining its unique identity.

The proposed renaming lacks substantial justification and seems to disregard the potential inconvenience it may cause to residents who have known this street as Harbin Drive their whole lives. It's important that we respect and preserve the namesakes of our local landmarks as they often reflect the rich history and culture of our area.
