Preserve the Integrity of Mannings Heath Playground

Preserve the Integrity of Mannings Heath Playground
The Issue
As a local resident and parent, I am deeply concerned about the potential changes to our beloved playground in Mannings Heath, Horsham. This playground, which cost £64k to build, has become a cherished space for children and families in our community. However, some residents are advocating for the removal of the roof due to its appearance and size. This proposed change threatens the unique features that make our playground special and could force its closure.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) would need to reassess any modifications made to this structure. There is no guarantee that a modified structure would pass these rigorous safety checks. If it fails, we risk rendering this park unsafe, uninsurable and ultimately unusable.
Please join me in urging local decision-makers to preserve Mannings Heath Playground as it is - safe and enjoyable for all who use it. Sign the petition NOW!
Local parents and children will be most affected by these changes; the same people who are often too busy to campaign or attend meetings! There is a meeting at Mannings Heath Village Hall on 31st January 7.30pm. Please come if you can to ask questions and make your views heard.
