Petition Update: The conversation has begun. The petition continues.

When I launched this petition, my goal was simple: to make sure a conversation took place about the future of WBT's historic transmitter site before final decisions were made.

I'm grateful to say that conversation has now happened.

On July 28, I met in person with Caroline Beasley, Heidi Raphael, and Marsha Landess to discuss the site's historic significance. I sincerely appreciate them taking the time to meet with me and have an open, respectful conversation.

During our meeting, it was shared that the companies have been discussing ways to document or preserve the history of 1110 WBT AM and that those discussions will continue as they gather more information. No final decisions have been made.

Because discussions are ongoing, this petition will remain active... not as a protest, but as a demonstration of continued public support while those conversations continue.
