As someone deeply connected to Bonita Springs and its rich history, It is important to note that  the 1921 and 1927 buildings of Bonita Springs Elementary School are in full danger to be demolished. They represent the fabric of our collective identity. These structures stand not merely as architectural emblem of our past, but also as symbolic testaments to our commitment to education and community values. This intimate relationship with the school is echoed in countless Bonita Springs residents' lives, including my mom, uncle, and aunt who spent their formative years within its venerable walls.

Quite alarmingly, the preservation of these historic structures is currently under threat. Therefore, we must act now to prevent the erasure of a significant part of our shared heritage. Keeping these buildings intact honors the legacy of the students who have learned within and celebrates the vibrant cultural and educational history of our community.
