The Issue

The Cat Pack Games have become an integral part of our community at WW since their beginning during COVID-19. Not just a game, they've grown into a meaningful event for our entire student body – an event where everyone wins and no child is left on the sidelines. Thanks to grants and local grocery donations, they've also become a community bonding day when we cater to participants and staff.

As a parent of a precious child who attends WW, has Down syndrome, and suffers from underlying health conditions, I can tell you first-hand how vital these games are. The Cat Pack Games started accepting participants at a younger age than any other games in our area, allowing my child to have the same fun and engaging experience as their school-aged peers.

But now, our school administration is trying to take these games away from us. To take away a day that has become likened to the Super Bowl for our community. This is especially hurtful when some of our kids have conditions that may shorten their lifespans. These fun-filled moments are precious life experiences for them.

The games are more than just play; they are about social inclusion, community building, and creating experiences that our children will cherish for the rest of their lives. Please, we implore you to sign this petition and let our voices be heard. Help us keep the Cat Pack Games alive for our children and our community.
