 Keysborough State School No 1466

Keysborough Common School opened in temporary accommodation in 1869. The Education Act was passed in 1872, and State School 1466 moved into a new brick school-room at 170 Chapel Road in 1874. It remained a small, rural school for much of its history.

The original school in this area was opened in 1869 and moved to this cosy country school building in 1874. Not to be confused with the present-day Keysborough Primary School which opened separately in 2010 when Coomoora Primary and Keysborough Park Primary Schools merged and took over the old Coomoora Secondary School site in Coomoora Rd Springvale South .

What the site is used for today: The building was sold in 1994 and became part of the compound for a storage company. The site has been sold for residential development but the building remains hidden towards the rear of the site behind town houses as a residence.
