A Few Updates from Seacliff Strong

Hello Seacliff Strong Supporter,

Thanks!  We wanted to thank you for joining us in opposition of a campground in Seacliff’s upper parking lot and field.  To date, thanks to all of you, the online petition has been signed by over 725 people who are encouraging State Parks to choose the alternative sights at New Brighton, Porter Sesnon or Sunset Beach.

Petition Updates!  We’ve had great interest and feedback from the neighborhood, and we’ve used it to update and strengthen our key points from the original petition. These include greater detail about the negative effects of a campground adjacent to a residential area, and provide counterpoints to the few alternative perspectives we’ve encountered. We are sending this update to make you aware of these changes since they were made after you provided your signature.

Upcoming Meeting!  We are happy to announce that we’ve been invited to a closed-door meeting with State Parks and Placeworks (the company handling the Camping Feasibility Study) to discuss our concerns. The Seacliff Improvement Foundation from our neighborhood will be joining Seacliff Strong at the August 21 meeting and we will provide you another update afterwards to keep you current on our progress.
