Preserving Dilkusha

Apr 1, 2017
Lorne Reimer, Editor of Salmon Arm’s Friday AM, has invited all of our Dilkusha / Orchard House / Minos supporters to meet in front of the Orchard House tomorrow, Sunday, April 2 at 2:30 PM for a photo op which will be used on the front of April’s Friday All Month edition. A simple statement and reminder that we should as citizens honour heritage in our community. If you can think of anyone else to contact, please do. See you tomorrow. Please bring tulips if you are able to, for yourself and to share with others. Tulips are part of the heritage of Dilkusha, as it was a field of tulips in the 1920's and 30's: half a million bulbs were shipped across the country as far east as Montreal during those years. *The photo, taken by Dennis Marshall, is courtesy of R.J. Haney Museum, Salmon Arm.
