Preserve Prior Lake High School Choir

Preserve Prior Lake High School Choir
The Issue
Recently it was made aware to PLHS choir students and Rob Hahn and Randi Erlandson (Hahn and E) that one of them would be moving to the middle school next year. As expected this information devastated a lot and many tears were shed, the decision has not been finalized as this petition is started but there is only so much time to hopefully convince the PLSAS school board the impact this decision has on the high school choir students.
Hahn and E strive to create a safe space for learning and growth within musical skills and friendship, past, present and returning choir kids at PLHS can advocate for this, without Hahn and E together this program would not be where it is today, such a tight knit and close family.
lots of laughter and lots of support comes in and out of this program and it would be such a devastating loss to loose either of these amazing teachers who have taught many so much about themselves and others. PLHS choir is great because of these teachers, without them there would be no masterwork, no celebrate and for sure no life changing experiences like trips to Italy and Ireland, no one person can do all that for us, Hahn and E are necessary for PLHS choir as they are what made it what it is, there’s no way to keep it what it is without them.
many tears were shed during the sharing of this information and many more will be shed in following days as we process what it could mean for the choir program at PLHS, this petition is to help prove a point of how impactful Hahn and E have been and how many people these TWO have impacted at PLHS choir and why both must stay with PLHS choir for many more years to come.
We are asking Past, present, returning PLHS choir students as well as those who are friends and family of any past or present PLHS choir students who have been impacted by Hahn and E’s amazing teaching, to sign this petition in support of keeping both Hahn and E at PLHS choir so they can keep doing the amazing work they do for the students.
