Preserve Pasture Boarding for Horses in Our Community

The Issue

Horses, as living creatures, deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. They live and thrive best within their natural pasture habitat – not in confined spaces. Pasture boarding allows these noble animals to indulge in their natural instincts, offering both physical and mental benefits. Living in a herd environment, they tend to be healthier and happier, showcasing behaviours seen in the wild. The University of Minnesota's research shows that grazing promotes the horse's gut health, reducing the risk of gastric ulcers (Equine '07).

Regrettably, there is an increasing trend towards stabling horses in scenarios that are detrimental to their wellbeing. With growing land conversion rates for non-agricultural purposes, horses are losing their rightful places in open pastures. The availability of sufficient outdoor space is now often seen as a luxury, not a necessity.

It's time we made a change. It's time we fought to preserve pasture boarding for the horses in our community. Stand with us in this noble cause. Sign this petition to appeal to our local councils, requesting them to implement policies that safeguard the natural habitats of these magnificent creatures. Protect their rights and give them the freedom they deserve. Preserve pasture boarding for horses – sign the petition today.
