Our local McDonald's, a cherished part of the Potomac, MD community, is under threat. The owners of Cabin John Village are refusing to renew its lease for a reasonable duration to accommodate the owner's renovation demands. This establishment isn't just a fast-food restaurant; it serves as a gathering place for kids, sports teams, high schoolers and the elderly alike. It is always bustling with activity and has become an integral part of our daily lives.

According to QSR magazine (2019), McDonald’s serves over 69 million people every day worldwide - evidence of its global popularity. In our community too, it plays an essential role in bringing people together and contributing to local economy.

We urge the owners of Cabin John Village to reconsider their decision and work out an agreement that allows our beloved McDonald's to continue serving us all. We cannot stand by while this important piece of our community is taken away from us.
