It's time to act, Chester -- Help Preserve Chester's Open Space!

We have a​n opportunity to preserve 100 acres of open land in Chester from being developed.​  This land is located just south of the Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center and runs up Kings Highway towards Warwick, back to the Creamery Pond ​development, and up to Ridge Road.  

It's time to protect the natural beauty of our community! Reach out to our Town Board members today via email or phone (contact info here: https://chester-ny.gov/town-departments/town-board/ and urge them to reconsider applying for the Orange County Open Space Grant. Tell them it's time to take action and preserve open space in the Town of Chester! This grant could potentially cover up to 50% of the cost of preserving this land, and we can't afford to miss this opportunity! Our Town officials should not be the sole decision-makers on when and what land to protect. They need to get input from the residents. The time to act is NOW!
