PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT CHANGED THIS CONVERSATION

One week later and one thing is clear:
Public involvement changed this conversation.
The original Mandarin Road sidewalk expansion was scaled back because residents spoke up, asked hard questions, signed petitions, attended meetings, and refused to stay silent.
But portions of the project are still moving forward, funding questions still remain, and many residents are still concerned about the long term future of Mandarin Road’s historic canopy and character.
This is exactly why continued public involvement matters.
Mandarin is not anti progress.
Residents simply believe progress should respect history, trees, neighborhoods, wetlands, and the unique Old Florida character that makes this community special.
Stay engaged.
Keep asking questions.
Keep defending Mandarin before it is changed permanently one project at a time
