Thank you to everyone who has supported the petition opposing the proposed 2.3-mile sidewalk project on Mandarin Road.

We have now reached an incredible milestone — 3,000 signatures.

This level of participation shows something very important:

There is widespread community concern about this project.

While a majority percentage of signatures come from Mandarin zip codes , Mandarin Road is not just a neighborhood street. It is used by runners, cyclists, visitors, and residents from across Jacksonville and beyond. Events like the Thanksgiving races and December marathon bring people from all over Florida who value this historic and scenic corridor.

Mandarin Road is widely recognized as a treasured historic roadway and natural canopy corridor, and thousands of people have now spoken up to protect it.

This growing support sends a clear message that City Council and JTA must listen to the community before moving forward with irreversible changes.

We are grateful to everyone who has signed, shared the petition, and helped spread the word.

But we’re not done yet.

Please continue sharing the petition with friends, neighbors, running groups, cycling groups, and anyone who cares about preserving one of Jacksonville’s most beautiful and historic roads.

Let’s keep the momentum going.
