🚨 MANDARIN ROAD UNDER THREAT. 🚨
A 2001 City of Jacksonville Ordinance clearly protects Mandarin Road as a historic, scenic corridor. Yet today, that law is being blatantly ignored — all in the name of spending some grant money and catering to a vocal minority of runners and bikers who already use the road freely.
These individuals want a sidewalk at the expense of 200-year-old oaks, the tree canopy, and the character of Mandarin Road itself. They don’t care about the legacy, the history, or what draws people to Mandarin. They just want their preferences pushed through — no matter the cost.
📣 It’s time to speak up — again.
Please write to the following officials and demand they enforce the 2001 Ordinance, halt the destruction of our historic road, and stop this unnecessary sidewalk expansion.

📝 Let them know this project is not wanted by the vast majority of Mandarin residents. Over 2,000 people have signed this petition. The city must respect the ordinance, the road, and the residents — not bulldoze over our voices for a few grant dollars and a small group of hobbyists.
