We're excited to share some important news with you. Our cause to oppose the proposed luxury casita development on the northeast side of Tucson has gained attention in the media! Local news recently highlighted our efforts to stand against this development, which threatens our community with high-density construction, habitat destruction, and increased flooding risks.

The news segment, reported by J.D. Wallace from 13 News, features our very own Bear Canyon Neighborhood Association President, Vaughn LaTour, as he passionately advocates for the preservation of our area and urges the Tucson City Council to reject this proposal. The developers may have received a conditional letter of map revision from FEMA, but the ultimate decision rests with the City Council. We're counting on their commitment to protect our neighborhoods from the dangers posed by this project.
