As part of our community in Contra Costa, California, Jelly's Place has been nothing short of a savior to thousands of helpless dogs and cats. This organization has not only rescued these precious creatures from the clutches of abuse and neglect, it has also been instrumental in saving them from unnecessary euthanasia. Jelly's Place then places these rescued pets into loving homes, ultimately providing them with a second chance at life.

But for the vulnerable pet guardians amongst us, particularly those who are low-income or unhoused, the support offered by Jelly's Place is immeasurable. By offering various forms of assistance, this organization has helped ensure these pet guardians can continue to provide for their animal companions, alleviating the harsh possibilities of relinquishment or abandonment. Jelly's Place has provided countless free vaccinations, grooming, boarding, and help with urgent and routine vet care when pet guardians could not afford it, sometimes neglecting their own needs to care for their beloved pets.

Jelly's Place has worked together with municipal shelters throughout California to rescue dogs and cats from euthanasia, and with rescues in Asia to save dogs and cats from the meat trade. They have helped reunite hundreds of lost pets with their owners, and have rehomed thousands of dogs and cats since opening their doors in 2017. 

The worth and impact of Jelly's Place cannot be understated. It shines brightly as a beacon of hope in our community. But now, it needs our help to continue its crucial work.

Jelly's Place needs to vacate its location by May 2025. CalTrans, which owns the property, has requested that they vacate it. Jelly's Place has no funds to buy a property, and rents are much higher than they can afford.  This means closing down!
