Preserve Heidi's Furry Friends Rescue in Loyalsock Twp
The Issue
A life-long animal lover, I am dismayed to witness the increasing number of abandoned cats and dogs in our community around Loyalsock Township deeply saddens me, yet I find solace knowing that caring souls like Heidi of Heidi's Furry Friends Rescue are dedicated to saving these innocent animals. Sadly, her mission is now threatened by antiquated zoning regulations that may force her phenomenal services out of Loyalsock Township.
Heidi's Furry Friends Rescue plays an indispensable role in our area. Not only does Heidi save forgotten cats and kittens left to fend for themselves, but she also provides critical funding for their medical needs, ensuring they have a second chance at life. Her compassion extends beyond the animals she saves directly; she offers financial assistance to families struggling to afford veterinary care, making sure no pet goes untreated simply due to financial constraints.
This cause is incredibly personal to me. As someone who is disabled, I am unable to physically contribute to Heidi's efforts, but emotionally and financially, I stand by her. Knowing that initiatives like Trap-Neuter-Return receive backing from Heidi's 301 tax-free program fills me with joy. This goes above and beyond what state-funded agencies in our region offer, and it would be a grave loss to see this support system dismantled.
Imagine a community where these services are lost. Cats, dogs, and all creatures in between left to face uncertain fates, families unable to care for their beloved pets, and a township absent of the goodwill that Heidi cultivates. This is not our area.
We urgently need to rally support to protect Heidi's operations and ensure she can continue her vital work and aid to animals who need her. Join me in this fight. Let us secure not just the future of Heidi's Furry Friends Rescue, but also that of numerous vulnerable animals and the families who depend on these kinds of services.
Let's make our voices heard to maintain the lifeline that Heidi’s mission represents. Sign this petition to save a cornerstone of compassion in our community.
