To my fellow music education advocates.

   Thank you so much for your support thus far in helping protect music education for our future students! We have reached over 100 signatures, and I would like to reach a goal of 200 signatures before the final decision is made in regard to the Beginning Band program at Maercker School. District 60's School Board will make a final decision regarding Band along with a few other proposals on February 17th, 2026. More details can be found on their district website if you wish to sit in or speak your peace on the issue. While there was discussion to uphold the band program in the previous meeting, the fight for music education is not over yet. If you know anyone who has been impacted by the overwhelming joy music has to bring to the world, please get their attention to this petition! Our support to the arts should be just as strong as the support the arts has brought to our lives!
